Fear, anxiety, shame, guilt, envy, and other spiky emotions, left unprocessed, latch onto our thoughts, and create beliefs.

Those beliefs become behaviors, and behaviors become actions.

Actions, repeated over time, create the shape of our life.

Hello fellow human!

You are cordially invited to a virtual Focused Circle Share on the third Thursday of July. The theme of this Circle will be “Boundaries: Full Circle”.

Spiky emotions arise when boundaries are set and maintained. They arise when boundaries are not set or maintained, too. Boundaries can be framed as being about other people, and yet boundary practices come full circle back to what you need and want. Becoming more aware of this can greatly aid both boundary practices and emotional health. This Circle is an ideal container for safe processing. The two main questions we will be discussing are:

  1. In order to set a boundary, it’s necessary to understand what you want and need before clearly communicating what’s okay and not okay. How do you get in touch with your needs and wants? What parts of yourself can you check in with as you evaluate a boundary?

  2. Across all dimensions of your life--family, friends, work, etc.--how have you identified and expressed what’s okay and not okay in the past? How are you doing this today? What do you notice about situations where you have been successful or unsuccessful at setting or maintaining boundaries? How would you like to shift this in the future? 

You are also invited to share this invitation with others in your network. We welcome all deep divers, truth seekers, big dreamers, and creative catalysts!

  • Time: 7:30-10:30 PM ET - Time zone converter - When the connections are flowing, it’s easy to get swept up, but we will try to keep to a three-hour container!

  • Your Facilitators: Christy HartSmith and Kaya Nazworth

  • Format: Focused circle share on the topic of “Boundaries: Full Circle”

  • Altar Item: Please bring a mirror and make sure that your space contains heart-opening objects: pillows, candles, etc.

The light flucture of these events—a portmanteau of “light flow plan / structure”—consists of introducing the theme and the digital altar, opening and closing meditations to ground and center us, reading aloud of the Circle Guidelines, an introduction of the current prompt, and then space in the center to hold us all as we practice sharing our truth.
